For the Hartebeest website, a unique approach has been chosen: animations. The website begins with a start screen featuring one large creation containing five images. Each image is animated, meaning that when you hover over it with your mouse, the image comes to life. It begins to move, adding a special touch to the website. Combined with the beautiful color palette, the website conveys exactly the intended feeling.
The animations are also clearly visible on mobile devices. Each subpage features the same animation again (in motion), and each subpage has its own shade of green. Additionally, there is an audio clip “hidden” in the menu. When you click on it, you hear a crackling fire and birds chirping, as if you are part of a trail offered by Hartebeest.
Furthermore, the site can be viewed in both Dutch and English thanks to the addition of a bilingual function.
